March for Change: are you ready?

Here's a brief reminder of the plans for next Saturday's (20th July) March for Change in London. This is a cross-party event which we are proud to support.

March for Change

Travel arrangements from Norfolk
Norfolk for Europe have arranged the following for any of us traveling from Norfolk:

Coach travel: Some coach tickets from Norwich are still available at - but book quickly! Meet outside the Theatre Royal Norwich at 7:45am before the bus departs at 8am sharp. (This was a surprisingly easy and speedy option on the last march!).

Train from Norwich: Our train is the March for Change Express at 09:04 from Norwich Station (also 09:21 from Diss; 09:33 from Stowmarket; 09:47 from Ipswich; arriving at London Liverpool Street 11:00). Meet with the Norfolk For Europe group at Norwich station at 8:45am. Probably cheapest to book your ticket via Trainline, the sooner the cheaper.
Once in London, travelers are advised to take a tube to Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch or Bond Street. Green Park is likely to be closed.

Friends in West Norfolk it may be more convenient to travel from King’s Lynn. Meet the Norfolk for Europe and West Norfolk Lib Dems at King’s Lynn Station at 08.30am, before boarding the 08.44 train to London, meeting people along the way at Walington 08.51, Downham Market at 08.58 (where Ely for Europe and Cambridge Stays groups will also join the train).

The Lib Dem meeting point in Park Lane TBA (we can let you know if you text your name and mobile number to Judi on 07973 534162). Last time it was outside the Dorchester Hotel, and you couldn’t miss the sea of yellow! Jo Swinson and Ed Davey and others of the Lib Dem Westminster team should be there to speak to us before the march.

You can also join the cross-party Norfolk for Europe group gathering at Bomber Command Memorial, in the corner of Green Park nearest to Hyde Park Corner.

We are all encouraged to wear blue and yellow to make a big splash. We can't guarantee delivery in time, but official T-shirts have just been made available via priced £14.99  - Go quick!!

Suggested vital supplies to bring: adequate water and sustenance (cafes get extremely crowded!), sun cream and comfortable shoes. Do bring your EU flag, Lib Dem poster or imaginative placard!

Many thanks to Norfolk for Europe for all this organisation. North Norfolk queries Judi on 07973 534162
