Having gained overall control of North Norfolk District Council in the May elections we are pleased to announce the new Cabinet members for the forthcoming year. Council Leader Sarah Bütikofer writes:
We are obviously delighted that the people of North Norfolk have put their trust in us, in such spectacular style, and we pledge to do our very best in their service over the next four years.
We also promise to continue to work collaboratively with all those who profess and demonstrate a keen desire to work cross party for the good of North Norfolk going forwards, and you will see that demonstrated in our Cabinet, Committee Places and Outside Body appointments shortly.
I assure all members that I will do my very best to achieve the best possible outcomes for all North Norfolk residents, and look forward to presenting the Corporate Plan containing our manifesto pledges very soon.
I am delighted to introduce to you your new Cabinet.
Cllr Eric Seward - will be our Deputy leader and Finance Portfolio Holder
Cllr Karen Ward – will continue with the Planning and Housing Portfolio
Cllr Nigel Lloyd – Will continue with a slightly altered Portfolio of the Environment
Cllr Virgina Gay – returns to the Cabinet as the Portfolio holder for Culture and Well-being
Cllr Angie Fitch-Tillet – will continue with the Coastal Portfolio
Cllr Richard Kershaw – a new member of the team brings a wealth of experience to the Economic and Career Development Portfolio.
Cllr Greg Hayman – another new face at the District Council but having served previously on another Council understands only too well the challenges we face in the Commercialisation and Assets Portfolio.
Last but by no means least – another new face here but a Councillor from another area in another life Cllr Andrew Brown will take on the Special Projects Portfolio, working across the team to support as and when required.
Just in case you are wondering my own portfolio will be Strategy and Corporate Services.
You will notice the cabinet incorporates a number of new faces who bring unique skills and talents to the table. I hope you will join me in wishing them well in their new roles, and thanking them for taking up this new challenge and opportunity. I am looking forward to working with them all.
